Applied Biometrics Limited, together with its partners, is creating a suite of biometric security products based on its portfolio of UK and international biometric patents.
These biometric security products revolutionize biometric access control by raising the security available from low cost fingerprint readers to the security levels required in Government, financial and corporate security systems. Biometric software products are currently available for computer and internet access control and new biometric products are being developed for other devices, like mobile phones and ATM’s, where a high level of access control is required.

We own eight UK and international patents in the field of fingerprint biometrics, biometric finger sequencing, application switching, device enabling and function switching, biometric keyboards, biometric data storage and automatic performance calibration for biometric devices.

Our Products
We have created the world’s first biometric software technology which enables a user to control how their biometric data will be used. This product, the BiometricPIN™ requires a sequence of fingerprints to be used, rather than a single fingerprint, on a conventional fingerprint reader. BiometricPIN™ allows security to be tailored to systems requirements (the more fingers the higher the security) and allows the user to change the sequence like the conventional PIN on a bank card. In this way extra security, biometric accuracy and privacy is built into the system.
Our Secure Application Switching (SAS™) technology provides convenience, security and compliance for users operating multiple systems (commodity traders, brokers, etc.).
We are designing the first real-time Automatic Performance Calibration system (APC™) for biometric readers. APC™ provides system-wide biometric equivalence of performance and ensures users obtain a consistent experience at each biometric reader in a large scale biometric installation. APC™ will be of great interest for large scale biometric installations like the Medical Records, ID Card and border control projects.
